Our Church

Pastor’s Welcome
As pastor of Grace and Truth Baptist Church, and on behalf of our members, I would like to invite you to visit and worship with us.  Everyone is welcome to attend our services. We look forward to meeting you!

About Our Church
Grace and Truth Baptist Church is a Bible believing, missions minded, independent Baptist church.  We strive to be a soul-winning church that equips our members to be witnesses of the grace of God in our lives and bold to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the world.   We still use the King James Bible in our services that feature prayer, biblical preaching and sacred music consisting of psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.

History
Grace and Truth Baptist Church started as Grace Baptist Church in November of 1974 under the leadership of its founding pastor, Bro Curtis Gibson.  The church has been a fixture in the Moss Point, MS area since its founding under the leadership of Bro. Gibson and the succeeding pastors, Bro. Ray Guernsey, Bro. Jimmy Edmonds, Bro. Steve Knight, Bro. Darnell Bryant and Bro. Lonnie Goff.

In November of 2011, the Lord led Bro. John Sanders to accept the pastorate and merge the church started under his ministry (Believer’s Baptist Church) with Grace Baptist Church to form Grace and Truth Baptist Church.  In 2024 we celebrated 50 years of continuous ministry as a local church to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and the world through preaching the gospel here and supporting missionaries around the nation and the world.  Our goal is to continue this ministry as long as the Lord allows.
