Our Pastor

Bro. John Sanders has been the pastor of Grace and Truth Baptist Church since November 2011. He has served God as a pastor since April of 1995. Bro. John trusted Christ as his Savior in August 1983 while serving in the US Navy.  He surrendered to the call to preach in 1988 and was later ordained by Grace Fellowship Baptist Church of Ocean Springs, MS. Bro. John trained and served there in several capacities including assistant pastor until 1995.

In April of 1995, Bro. John was sent from Grace Fellowship Baptist Church to start a new church. The Lord led him to start Believer’s Baptist Church in the Escatawpa / Moss Point, MS area.  In 2011 Believer’s Baptist Church merged with Grace Baptist Church to form Grace and Truth Baptist Church.

Bro. John and his wife Denise were married in 1985.  They have been blessed to raise seven children, all of whom profess faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior and one is serving the Lord as a missionary.
