If you did not find the answer that you would have given to the question, "IF YOU DIED TODAY DO YOU KNOW FOR SURE THAT YOU WOULD GO TO HEAVEN", then let me ask you another very important question. WHY ARE YOU SURE? This question is important because there is only ONE correct answer. I have no doubt of your sincerity my friend but a person can be sincerely wrong. This issue is THE most important issue you will ever deal with. If you are not ready to die then you are not ready to live!
Do you know the date of your death?
Do you know what tomorrow will bring?
Can you afford to be wrong on this issue?
The one correct answer to the question is: "I know I will go to heaven when I die because I have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ who shed his blood on the cross to pay for my sins and rose from the dead after the third day according to the scriptures."
Eternal life cannot be found in your church or religion. It cannot be found in your priest, pastor, pope or guru. It cannot be found in your good works, religious duties, sacraments or ordinances. Eternal life is found in one place alone. Eternal life is found in Jesus Christ alone.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)
Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:10-12)
If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (1 John 5:9-13)
So the ultimate question is what, or rather who, are you trusting for your salvation. God said that eternal life was in His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus said he was THE WAY. If we could be saved by any other means, Jesus would not have had to die for our sins. The choice is yours to make. You either believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as your only Lord and Savior or you spend eternity in the torment of hell. Does that sound too narrow to you? Jesus Himself said, Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (Matthew 7:13-14) The way is narrow because only Jesus could pay the penalty for sin. He is the only Savior. For you to trust in some other way when God has given so much to save you is the ultimate insult to God. Won't you please believe on the Lord Jesus Christ today?
